The charity sponsoring Pimlico Academy has expressed its wish to further expand the project by building a primary school to supplement the existing secondary school. Future, the education charity, has been involved with the school since 2008 and the proposal to expand the Lupus Street site was released this week, giving the community, parents, students, and teachers the opportunity to comment and give their opinion.
A spokesperson from the charity said “The school has improved rapidly and is now rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted. Future would like to expand the age range of Pimlico Academy to include primary provision.” Current academy principal Jerry Collins said “We are delighted to have the opportunity to develop our plans for expanding our provision into the primary phase.”
